Hezbollah Appoints Naim Qassem as New Leader
Stockholm, October 29 (Hibya) – Hezbollah has announced the appointment of Naim Qassem as the organization’s new leader.
Qassem, who was promoted from deputy leader on Tuesday, has succeeded Hassan Nasrallah as the head of the Lebanon-based armed group.
Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut at the end of September. Since Israel has focused on the Lebanese group, many high-ranking Hezbollah officials have been killed.
