IDF: Attempt to smuggle weapons from Egypt into Israel foiled
Jerusalem, June 3 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a drone crossing from Egypt into Israeli territory with the intent of smuggling weapons was intercepted and brought down.
In a statement from the IDF, it was reported that during surveillance, a drone attempting to smuggle weapons from Egypt into Israel was detected.
The drone was intercepted by Israeli military forces, and a subsequent search revealed an unmanned aerial vehicle carrying 11 long-barrel weapons and ammunition. The seized weapons were handed over to security forces for further processing.
