The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the head of Hezbollah's executive committee, Hashem Safieddine, and Hezbollah's intelligence chief, Hussein Ali El-Zima, were neutralized.

The IDF's statement read as follows:

"About three weeks ago, in the Dahiya region of Beirut, we can confirm that Hashem Safieddine, head of the executive committee of the terrorist organization Hezbollah, and intelligence chief Hussein Ali El-Zima, along with other Hezbollah commanders, were neutralized. Air Force fighter jets, guided by precise intelligence, targeted Hezbollah's main underground intelligence headquarters, located amidst the civilian population."
