Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi held phone talks with his counterparts
Tehran, June 14 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held telephone conversations with his counterparts from India, Egypt, the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA), Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United Kingdom, and Australia.
According to the ministry's statement, Foreign Minister Araghchi spoke on the phone with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
During the conversation, Jaishankar conveyed the deep condolences of the Indian government and people to the Iranian government and people following Israel’s attacks.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty condemned Israel’s military attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran during his call with Araghchi.
Abdelatty said the attacks were fueling an extremely dangerous regional escalation, a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter, and posed a direct threat to regional and international security and stability.
Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos also held a phone call with Araghchi.
Kombos condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran and called for restraint and the use of diplomacy to prevent further escalation in the region.
Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar strongly condemned the Israeli attacks during his call with Araghchi.
Dar reiterated the solidarity of the Pakistani government and people with Iran and expressed concern that Israel’s aggressive actions posed a threat to regional stability and security.
During his phone conversation with Araghchi, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic, describing them as a clear violation of Iran’s sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy spoke with Araghchi to discuss recent developments related to Israel’s aggression toward Iran.
Lammy expressed regret over rising tensions in the region and said he hoped all parties would exercise restraint and seek a diplomatic solution to the situation.
As part of ongoing diplomatic consultations, Araghchi also held a phone conversation with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong.
Araghchi outlined the extent of Israel’s aggression, including attacks on military targets and nuclear facilities, and warned of the consequences of Israeli policies. Wong emphasized that such developments carried the risk of further destabilizing the region.
