Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, leading a diplomatic delegation in the Syrian capital Damascus, met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

During the meeting, Araghchi reaffirmed Tehran's principled stance on providing comprehensive support to the Syrian government, its people, and armed forces in combating terrorism and maintaining regional security and stability.

Araghchi described the recent activities of terrorist groups as part of conspiracies organized by the enemies of regional stability and security.

Syrian President Assad expressed his gratitude for the support of the Iranian government and people.
