Israel apologizes for killing international aid workers
Stockholm, April 3 (Hibya) – Israel apologized for the killing of seven employees of the international aid organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike on the city of Deir al Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said in his video message: "I want to state this very clearly: The attack was not carried out with the aim of harming WCK aid workers. It was an error that occurred due to misidentification in very complex circumstances at night: it should not have happened. I apologize.''
Herzi Halevi added that there will be an independent investigation into what exactly happened in the incident.
