Israel offers condolences for the passing of former US President Carter
Jerusalem, December 30 (Hibya) - The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a condolence message for the passing of former US President Jimmy Carter.
According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, the Israeli Government expressed its condolences to the Carter family and the American people on the passing of President Carter.
The published condolence message read: "We will always remember President Carter's role in achieving the first Arab-Israeli peace agreement, signed by Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. This peace agreement has lasted nearly half a century and offers hope for future generations."
