The Ministry stated that Lebanon violated the ceasefire agreement twice last week by launching rocket attacks, and that Israel warned it would not tolerate continued attacks against itself and its citizens.

Emphasizing that the IDF operation targeting Hezbollah’s drone storage facilities in Lebanon was a response to these attacks, the Ministry said: “Ongoing attacks on Israel will compel it to exercise its right to self-defense. Israeli citizens deserve the same protection as citizens of other countries. The responsibility to prevent further attacks from Lebanese territory lies with the Lebanese government and army.”
