Israel warns Lebanese citizens not to move their vehicles
Stockholm, October 1 (Hibya) - Israel's Arabic-language military spokesman warned Lebanese residents not to move their vehicles amid what Avichay Adraee described as "heavy fighting".
"There is intense fighting in southern Lebanon, with Hezbollah elements using civilian areas and the population as human shields to launch attacks. For your personal safety, we kindly ask you not to move vehicles from the northern area to the southern area of the Litani River. This warning is in effect until further notice," the statement said.
Israel claims it is targeting Hezbollah inside Lebanon, where more than 1,000 people have been killed, 6,000 injured and, according to the Lebanese government, one million displaced in the past two weeks.
Since October 8, 2023, approximately 60,000 Israelis have been displaced from their homes in northern Israel due to Hezbollah's constant rocket fire from the direction of Lebanon into Israel.
