Israeli government approves plan to expand Gaza operation
Stockholm, May 5 (Hibya) – Israel’s Security Cabinet unanimously approved the expansion of military operations in Gaza.
According to an Israeli official, Netanyahu made it clear that this plan differs from previous ones, shifting from raid-based operations to "territorial occupation and permanent Israeli presence in Gaza."
The cabinet also approved, in principle, a framework for the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza through foreign companies.
On Friday, during a security consultation, the military presented Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with phased attack plans in Gaza that would require significant mobilization.
