Israeli Government Shut Down Al Jazeera
Stockholm, May 7 (Hibya) - The Israeli government unanimously decided to close the offices of Al Jazeera in Israel.
This decision was made based on a law recently passed by Congress, which temporarily prohibits the activities of foreign media outlets deemed a threat to national security during the war in Gaza.
Al Jazeera critically addresses Israel's military operations. Channel officials previously accused Israelis of deliberately killing two of their journalists in January in Gaza. The timing of Israel's ban coming into effect is still unknown.
