Italian Defense Minister Crosetto sends condolence message to Israel
Rome, May 22 (Hibya) – Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto conveyed his condolences to the State of Israel and the Israeli Embassy in the US following the armed attack.
Crosetto stated that the attack in front of the "Jewish Museum" in Washington was not only an act of antisemitism that resulted in death, but also a dangerous and insidious message to the entire world.
He emphasized that the search for a just peace in Gaza, active solidarity with civilians, and condemnation of crimes and violations of humanitarian law are beyond debate.
“The Ministry of Defense and the Italian government are working for peace and assisting Palestinians who are in need of food, care, medicine, and peace. But we must remain vigilant against all forms of antisemitism, even the most insidious. Vigilance, prevention, and cultural engagement must be elevated further,” he said.
Crosetto concluded: “We can no longer ignore these warning signs and risk factors. I offer my personal condolences and solidarity to the State of Israel and its Embassy in the United States.”
