Italian Foreign Minister Tajani condemns the Manchester attack
Rome, October 2 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani condemned the attack on a synagogue in Manchester.
In his statement, Tajani emphasized that the attack on Yom Kippur was a very serious assault on the Jewish community, saying: "It was not only the Jewish people who were targeted, but all of us; the principles of religious freedom, tolerance and respect are also under attack."
Tajani stressed that history reminds us not to forget the atrocities of the recent past and underlined that peace and freedom must be defended together.
The Italian Minister Tajani offered his condolences to the families of the victims and to the government of the United Kingdom.
