Kallas: Only diplomacy can lead to a lasting solution
Brussels, June 14 (Hibya) – EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Araghchi.
Kallas announced that she had spoken with Minister Araghchi regarding the regional situation.
She stressed that the risk of further escalation in the region is dangerously high: “Diplomacy must prevail. The EU has always been clear: Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Only diplomacy can lead to a lasting solution. The EU is ready to support.”
