Kremlin describes NATO commander's remarks as hostile statement
Moscow, July 18 (Hibya) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described NATO commander Christopher Donahue's remarks about Kaliningrad as a hostile statement.
Peskov, in a statement regarding NATO Land Forces Commander Christopher Donahue’s comments on NATO’s plan to suppress defenses in the Kaliningrad region, said this is another example of a series of hostile statements coming from Europe.
Donahue had earlier stated at a conference in Germany that NATO plans to operationally suppress the defensive potential of Russian forces in the Kaliningrad region.
Responding to a journalist’s question about how the Kremlin might comment on this statement, Peskov said, "This is a new example of a series of hostile and aggressive statements we often hear from representatives of European countries' defense ministries."
