Lahbib: 3 Canadair aircraft deployed to fight wildfires in Israel
Brussels, May 1 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced that following Israel’s request for assistance with wildfires, 3 Canadair aircraft have been deployed.
Lahbib stated that the 3 Canadair aircraft, assigned by Croatia and Italy, departed this morning to support firefighting operations in Israel.
She also emphasized that additional support may be mobilized from other participants in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
