Lazzarini: International media organizations must push harder to enter Gaza
New York, September 6 (Hibya) – United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that international media organizations need to push harder to enter Gaza and report freely.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Lazzarini emphasized that it is standard for international journalists to cover conflicts and wars.
Lazzarini noted that for around 11 months, international media teams had been barred from entering Gaza freely to report on the humanitarian crisis and the effects of the war, and added:
“I admire Palestinian journalists. Despite the large number of those killed, they continue to carry the torch. They need the support of their colleagues. International media organizations must push harder to enter Gaza and report freely.”
