UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini held a meeting with Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.

Welcoming the establishment of a UNRWA liaison office in Ankara to build an even stronger partnership with Turkish institutions and the public, Lazzarini said: “As UNRWA continues to pursue its mission of providing vital services, including basic healthcare, education and emergency assistance, to millions of Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, such partnerships are more important than ever.”
