Lazzarini noted that while the world's attention has shifted elsewhere, the tragedies in Gaza continue unabated.

He stated that in recent days, dozens of people—including hungry individuals seeking food—have been killed or injured, and added:

“Restrictions on the entry of UN aid, including from UNRWA, into Gaza continue, despite the availability of large amounts of ready-to-ship assistance. In addition, a severe fuel shortage is hampering the delivery of critical services, especially healthcare and water.”

Lazzarini emphasized that killings and wars only lead to more bloodshed and conflict, saying:

“Civilians suffer the most and first. Political will, leadership, and courage are long overdue—and needed now more than ever. The time has come for lasting peace in Gaza and the entire region.”
