Leyen: Europe did not start the tariff debate
Brussels, April 1 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Europe did not start the tariff debate and that they will always stand by Europe.
Von der Leyen stated that the tariff debate was not initiated by Europe, and noted that tariffs are taxes paid by the public.
She added that Europe has everything needed to protect its people and their well-being: “We will always defend our interests and values. And we will always stand by Europe.”
