Brussels, October 3 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the floods in Valencia were a European tragedy, announcing that the EU has committed approximately €1.6 billion in funds for recovery and reconstruction.
Commission President Leyen stressed that the floods in Valencia were a European tragedy.
She noted that the stories of those who lost everything due to the High-Level Isolated Low Pressure Area (DANA) deeply affected them, saying: “We mourned together. Now we will recover together.”
Leyen announced that the EU has pledged around €1.6 billion in funds for recovery and reconstruction.
