Love for Galatasaray in Colombia
In Turkey, Colombian Gustavo Victoria, who played for Galatasaray in the 2001-2002 season, moved to Gaziantepspor in the 2002-2003 season, and wore the Çaykur Rizespor jersey between 2003 and 2008, cannot forget the years he spent at Galatasaray and in Turkey.
Interview by MEHMET BAYER - 29.01.2024 - HIBYA - Gustavo Victoria, who lives in the city of Tulua in Colombia and has a sports club called Club Deportivo Talentos GV, answered questions from HIBYA correspondent.
Victoria expressed his appreciation for Turkish fans, saying, "I am a Galatasaray fan, because football has had a big impact on my life, and the colors of the club are the same colors as the club I own in Colombia. I think I did important things when I was in Galatasaray. I was very young, and it was my first team outside of Colombia. No one knew me, and it was important for me to be able to compete and succeed against famous players in Galatasaray. In the first year, we won the championship. I wish I could have stayed there longer."
Regarding his teammates at Galatasaray like Falcao and Davison Sanchez, Victoria said, "They are experienced players and have a successful history in football. Additionally, they are amazing individuals."
