Mexico's first female president sworn in
Mexico City, October 2 (Hibya) - Claudia Sheinbaum, who won Mexico's presidential election in June, was sworn in as the country's first female and Jewish president.
The inauguration ceremony occurred first in Congress in Mexico City, and then the newly sworn-in president spoke to thousands of supporters in the city's Zocalo Square.
Sheinbaum, a climate scientist and former mayor of Mexico City, will serve a six-year term.
