Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Milatović spoke about the meeting as follows:

"This is our fifth meeting, and it is a sign of the excellent bilateral relations and mutual trust between Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey. President Erdoğan accepted my invitation to inaugurate the old Turkish Embassy building, which was funded and rebuilt by TIKA, during his visit to Montenegro. During the meeting, it was emphasized that Montenegro plays an important role in maintaining stability in the Western Balkans and promoting cooperation, thanks to its good relations with its neighbors. We also exchanged views on common interests and strategic issues that are crucial for the stability of our region. I thanked President Erdoğan for his support and constructive role in strengthening political dialogue and promoting regional cooperation."
