U.S. Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed the United States' deep concern over the conviction of Vietnamese blogger Duong Van Thai.
Miller stated, "We call on Vietnamese authorities to release Duong Van Thai and to ensure that their actions align with Vietnam’s international obligations."
