It was announced this morning that Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics and head of the Vatican State, passed away.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi shared a message of condolence for the passing of Pope Francis.
In his message, Araghchi said: "On behalf of the people of Iran, we offer our heartfelt condolences to the global community mourning this profound loss, especially to the faithful followers of Pope Francis. His wisdom and compassion touched countless lives; he promoted peace and unity among nations and faiths. We share this sorrow and convey our deepest sympathies."
