Minister Şahin welcomed the new EU Special Envoy for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Adil Atiyye, Head of the Department for European Affairs, was also present at the meeting.

Minister Şahin emphasized the critical importance of time, noting that the Palestinian people are being destroyed and forcibly displaced in an indescribable manner. He called on the EU to take more decisive, urgent, and effective steps to end the genocide, displacement, and famine in the occupied Palestinian territories. He also stressed the need to work with all parties to enable the Palestinian government to assume responsibility in the Gaza Strip.
