More than 70% of Russians find their place of residence comfortable
Moscow, February 27 (Hibya) - According to data from a survey conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center, nearly three-quarters of Russians (71%) consider the living conditions in their place of residence comfortable.
The study's results show that 84% of residents in Moscow and St. Petersburg describe their place of residence as comfortable.
Among those living in cities with a population of over one million, 73% of respondents find their area comfortable. In cities with a population of 500,000 or more, this percentage is 68%, in cities with a population between 100,000 and 500,000, it is 75%, while in areas with fewer than 100,000 residents, it is 68%.
According to the survey results, nearly two-thirds (64%) of rural residents also consider their living environment comfortable.
The study further revealed that 26% of respondents believe their communities are uncomfortable to live in, while 3% had no opinion on the matter.
The nationwide telephone survey was conducted on February 14, 2025, among 1,600 participants aged 18 and older.
