NASA Cameras to Record Interaction Between Lander and Lunar Surface
The small cameras of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will record the interaction between the lander and the lunar surface.
According to a statement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), as the Intuitive Machines' Nova-C lander descends towards the Moon, 4 small NASA cameras will be trained to record the interaction between the lunar surface and the spacecraft's exhaust gases to capture how the surface changes.
Researchers at Langley will use the technique of stereo photogrammetry to create a three-dimensional view of the surface using overlapping images from the SCALPSS (SCALPSS 1.0 version) on the Nova-C spacecraft.
