Netanyahu comments on attack in Binyamin region
Jerusalem, September 20 (Hibya) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that following the attack in the Binyamin region, security forces were pursuing the suspect alleged to have carried out the attack. Netanyahu said he had ordered increased security measures in the West Bank and the demolition of the suspect’s home.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement on social media regarding the attack in the Binyamin region.
Netanyahu said security forces were conducting an operation to capture the person he said had carried out the attack. He stated that action would be taken against those responsible and those who assisted them, adding that operations in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank would continue.
Netanyahu announced that he had instructed the Israeli military and Shin Bet to operate in the West Bank with reinforced forces, impose closures, carry out operations and conduct arrests.
The Israeli prime minister also said he had ordered steps to be taken to demolish the home of the person alleged to have carried out the attack.
In his statement, Netanyahu offered condolences to the family of the person killed in the attack.
The Israeli prime minister’s post came amid continuing tensions in the West Bank. Reuters reported that settler attacks and incidents of violence between Palestinians and Israelis continued in the West Bank in September.
