Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar congratulated the countries elected as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.

Minister Dar wished Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Trinidad and Tobago, and Zimbabwe success in this important responsibility and said: "As Pakistan continues its tenure on the Security Council until 2026, we remain committed to advancing peace, security, dialogue, and multilateral cooperation. We look forward to working closely with the future members to achieve our shared goals and build a more peaceful, secure, and just world."
