In a statement, the Ministry said it condemns provocative statements and stances, as well as formulas or statements in the Israeli Knesset calling for the imposition of so-called Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.

The statement noted that measures to expand settlements and deepen annexation continue daily.

The Ministry considers these measures colonial, reinforcing the apartheid regime in occupied Palestine, openly disregarding United Nations resolutions and the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, and as an attempt to undermine the implementation of a two-state solution, especially after the Knesset’s decision to reject recognition of the Palestinian state. The statement added: “This is also an explicit call to escalate the cycle of war and violence.”
