According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen met with a delegation from the Palestinian National Observatory, affiliated with the Human Rights and Civil Society Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

The delegation, headed by Ahmed al-Tamimi, head of the Human Rights and Civil Society Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization, also included Dr. Omar Awadallah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.

The statement said the meeting addressed the importance of the Palestinian National Observatory as a specialized Palestinian institution that documents and monitors Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

The parties also discussed the observatory's role in strengthening national efforts in this field and how the outcomes of its work could be used to support the activities of Palestinian ambassadors and diplomatic missions.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting also addressed providing Palestinian diplomatic missions with information and documentation that would strengthen their work.
