Minister Shaheen urged the Chilean Senate and House of Representatives to adopt a resolution to boycott Israeli settlements and ban arms trade with Israel.

Shaheen presented lawmakers with a list of companies working with the settlements that should be completely boycotted. He emphasized that accountability and punishment under international law are essential elements to ensure respect for international laws, protect human rights, and promote international justice.

The minister also called on parliamentarians to push for a ban on arms trade with Israel, stressing that this holds legal, humanitarian, and political significance, particularly in the context of human rights violations and international humanitarian law.
