Prime Minister Starmer: We have launched the largest legal action in history against dirty water
London, July 20 (Hibya) - UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the government has taken strong action against environmental pollution caused by water companies.
Starmer criticized the previous Conservative government for failing to act against environmental pollution.
Prime Minister Starmer stated that his Labour Party-led government has launched the largest criminal investigation in history against the discharge of dirty wastewater into rivers, lakes, and seas. He also noted that the "unjust bonuses" given to executives of polluting water companies have been banned.
In his statement, Starmer also shared the government’s goals, saying they aim to reduce wastewater pollution by half.
