Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Russian President Putin made a statement to the press following his phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Putin stated that the conversation lasted more than two hours and said: “I would like to emphasize that it was very informative and quite frank. Overall, I think it was very beneficial.”

Putin thanked Trump for the United States’ support in restarting direct negotiations for a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, which had been interrupted by the Ukrainian side in 2022.

Putin said that during the conversation, Trump expressed his stance on halting hostilities and achieving a ceasefire, and that he himself reiterated Russia’s support for a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine crisis.

“We need to identify the most effective paths to peace. We agreed with the U.S. President that Russia is ready to work with the Ukrainian side on a memorandum regarding a potential future peace agreement that outlines principles of resolution, timing, and possibly a ceasefire for a certain period if appropriate agreements are reached.”

Putin added: “Meanwhile, contacts between participants in the Istanbul meetings and negotiations have resumed, which suggests we are on the right track. Our discussion was very constructive and I consider it highly valuable. Of course, both the Russian and Ukrainian sides must show the utmost desire for peace and find compromises acceptable to all parties. In general, Russia’s position is clear: it is important for us to eliminate the root causes of this crisis.”
