Putin: I wish health and well-being to all Orthodox Christians celebrating Christmas
Moscow, January 7 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his Christmas greetings to all Orthodox Christians and all Russian citizens celebrating the holiday.
President Putin emphasized that this holiday is very precious to millions of people around the world, saying: "It brings joy and hope to believers, inspiring good thoughts, actions, and behaviors. During Christmas, we feel more deeply the importance of family traditions passed down from generation to generation."
Highlighting the constructive role of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations in Russia in uniting the people, preserving historical memory, and maintaining unique cultural and spiritual heritage, Putin said: "Religious organizations significantly contribute to strengthening the family institution, educating the younger generation, and reinforcing eternal moral values in society, such as caring for others, compassion, mercy, and support for those in need. I wish health and well-being to all Orthodox Christians and Russian citizens celebrating Christmas."
