Refik Anadol's Renaissance Dreams Exhibition Opened as Part of GastroANTEP
As part of the GastroANTEP Cultural Path Festival organized in collaboration with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Renaissance Dreams Digital Exhibition prepared by Refik Anadol with artificial intelligence has been opened.
The opening of the exhibition took place with a ceremony attended by Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber, AK Party Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman Abdülhamit Gül, local protocol, and citizens at the Turkish Archaeological and Cultural Heritage Institute.
Refik Anadol, one of the artists contributing to the initiation and development of artificial intelligence art worldwide, who combines architecture, media arts, and data science in his works, offers a unique experience to visitors with the Renaissance Dreams Exhibition, which is the first of its kind in the context of Renaissance works.
For the exhibition, Anadol and his team collected visual data sets from millions of art pieces produced between the 14th and 17th centuries and processed them using GAN Algorithms that have become competent in reflecting the style and content of the Renaissance.
The Renaissance Dreams Exhibition offers a unique and immersive experience, providing visitors with a different, new, and poetic way to connect with the works of the Renaissance period, which hold a significant place in world art and history.
