Rubio: We condemn sanctions on two Israeli ministers
New York, June 11 (Hibya) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States condemns the sanctions imposed by the governments of the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, New Zealand, and Australia on two Israeli cabinet ministers.
Secretary Rubio stated that the U.S. condemns the sanctions imposed on two Israeli cabinet members by those countries.
He emphasized that these sanctions do not advance the U.S.-led efforts to achieve a ceasefire, release all hostages, and end the war.
“We reject any notion of equivalence: Hamas is a terrorist organization that has committed unspeakable atrocities, continues to hold innocent civilians hostage, and prevents the people of Gaza from living in peace. We remind our partners not to forget who the real enemy is.”
Rubio concluded: “The United States strongly encourages the withdrawal of these sanctions and stands with Israel.”
