Russell: 33 million children suffer from severe wasting in 15 crisis-affected countries
New York, May 28 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said that 33 million children are suffering from severe wasting in 15 crisis-affected countries.
UNICEF Executive Director Russell stated that 33 million children in 15 countries affected by crisis are suffering from severe wasting.
Highlighting the joint efforts of the World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF to protect children’s lives, Russell said, “Stopping this crisis requires more than treatment. It requires prevention at scale.”
