Russell: Measles vaccines are safe and effective
New York, June 14 (Hibya) – United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Catherine Russell said that measles vaccines are safe and effective, that vaccinating every child protects all children and prevents the spread of the disease.
Russell stated that in the past year, measles outbreaks have affected more than 100 countries, which are home to about three-quarters of the world’s children.
“We know how to prevent this. Measles vaccines are safe and effective. Vaccinating every child protects all children and prevents the spread of disease,” Russell said.
