Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zakharova emphasized that the Israeli army, by occupying the buffer zone near the Golan Heights, violated the 1974 disengagement agreement between Israel and Syria. She added, "These military actions do not contribute to stabilizing Syria and only worsen the already dire situation in the country."

Zakharova also commented on Washington's statement regarding events in Syria, saying it reflects dissatisfaction with the socio-economic condition of the Syrian people. "However, it is the United States that has intentionally imposed sanctions on Damascus for years, directly impacting the current situation," she added.
