Vladimir Putin held a working meeting at the Kremlin with the head of the New People Party faction in the State Duma, Alexei Nechayev.

During the meeting, Putin asked Nechayev what his party was working on in parliament. The leader of the New People faction, Alexei Nechayev, replied that they are currently working on passing the budget, noting: "Of course, this budget is complex, but what matters is that it is a victory budget – both militarily and technologically. That is the most important thing. Our party supported the budget in the first reading, but I am concerned because it is a deficit budget."
