Saidov met with ICESCO Director General Al-Malik
Samarkand, May 24 (Hibya) – Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bahtiyor Saidov expressed his pleasure at hosting Dr. Salim Al-Malik, Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in Tashkent.
During the meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on expanding cooperation between the two sides.
Minister Saidov welcomed ICESCO’s promising initiatives and emphasized the significance of declaring Samarkand as the “Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” for 2025.
At the end of the meeting, an Action Plan was signed between the Government of Uzbekistan and ICESCO, outlining concrete projects and key cooperation priorities for the coming period.
