Sanchez: I reject gender-based murder and strongly condemn it
Madrid, November 29 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that he rejects gender-based murder and strongly condemns it.
In a statement from the Government Delegation Against Gender-Based Violence, it was confirmed that a two-year-old child was killed in Spain’s Jaen province.
The statement also noted that the number of children killed in Spain due to gender-based violence reached 9 in 2024 and 62 since 2013.
Prime Minister Sanchez, in his remarks, expressed solidarity with the mother, family, and friends of the child killed in Jaen.
Emphasizing that indirect violence is the worst form of violence, Sanchez stated: "Its sole purpose is to continue inflicting lifelong pain and suffering on the victim. I reject this recent gender-based murder and strongly condemn it."
