Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that there have been positive developments in employment and unemployment figures. He noted that May saw a new employment record, and that the number of unemployed fell below 2.5 million for the first time in 17 years.
Sanchez said the number of employed women has reached a historical high, while youth unemployment and temporary employment rates have dropped to historically low levels. “Our economic policies are working. We are moving forward,” he said, emphasizing the government's commitment to a job-focused economic approach.
