Sanchez: We have approved the Security and Defense Industry and Technology Plan
Madrid, April 22 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced that they have approved the Security and Defense Industry and Technology Plan.
Prime Minister Sanchez stated that this plan will allow Spain to meet the requirement of spending 2% of its GDP on security and defense by 2025.
Sanchez emphasized that this will be an important initiative they will carry out without raising taxes and without affecting investments in welfare.
He added that their goal is to modernize Spain and Europe’s security and deterrence capabilities with a comprehensive 360-degree perspective, stating, "We did not choose this international situation. But we choose how to face it. With strategic intelligence, social justice, and loyalty."
