Dutch Prime Minister Schoof participated in a video conference organized by European Council President Antonio Costa for EU leaders, as part of preparations for next week's special European Council session on Ukraine and European security.

Schoof stated that French President Emmanuel Macron provided information about his visit to Washington, DC, and added: "Close cooperation between the EU and the US is essential for securing lasting peace in Ukraine. To achieve this, continuous support for Ukraine, security guarantees, and investments in European defense are necessary."
