Spain emphasizes diplomacy with Iran: The Middle East needs peace and stability
Madrid, June 15 (Hibya) – Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, announced that he held a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
In a statement regarding the meeting, Albares said that Spain is working to reduce tensions and promote restraint in the region.
“Diplomacy and negotiation are the path to follow. The Middle East needs peace and stability,” Albares stated, adding that he also discussed the security of the Spanish Embassy in Tehran and the safety of Spanish citizens in the country. He emphasized that this issue is a top priority for him.
