In his statement on World Cancer Day, Prime Minister Sanchez said that there is no family or circle of friends that has not encountered this disease, and added:

Sanchez emphasized that the Spanish government is committed to investing in research, development, and innovation to foster, attract, and retain scientific talent, and added: “We want high-tech healthcare and we defend our exceptional public health system. Thanks to all the teams that bring hope in the fight against cancer.”
